SAN AND OTHERS FOR THEIR CONTRIBUTIONS TOWARDS COVID 19
WELFARE/RELIEF PACKAGES FOR YOUNG LAWYERS
The Executive Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association, Young Lawyers Forum (NBA-YLF), Ibadan Branch wishes to use this medium to express our sincere appreciation to the Nigerian Bar Association, Ibadan Branch and senior members of Ibadan Bar for their financial support, kindness and gesture of immeasurable value towards young lawyers for the purpose of relieving the hardship brought about by the measures initiated by the Government to curtail the spread of COVID 19 Pandemic in Oyo State.
We are particularly grateful for the kind gesture of our highly respected senior, Prince Lateef Fagbemi SAN who generously donated the sum of Five Million Naira for the welfare of young lawyers from which 250 young lawyers benefitted the sum of Twenty Thousand Naira (N20,000) each.
We cannot but also appreciate all our revered seniors such as Chief Adeniyi Akintola SAN, Mr. Oladipo Olasope SAN, Mr. Seun Abimbola, Aare Isiaka Abiola Olagunju among others who also generously donated to the Bar for the aforesaid purpose and from which some other young lawyers also benefited.
We are indeed very grateful for the gesture of immeasurable value expressed towards us by our leaders and senior members of Ibadan Bar. It is our prayer that Almighty God will continue to provide for their needs and replenish their purses.
Conclusively, we wish to encourage and appeal to other senior members of the Bar to emulate this gesture and support young lawyers in whichever way they can in this period and beyond. It is our belief that the welfare of young lawyers is paramount as the future of the legal profession ultimately lies on our shoulders.
