Kebbi State Governor Celebrates With NBA President’s Son Who Graduated With First Class From Covenant University
Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, CON, Governor Kebbi State was in Ota, Ogun State to celebrate with friends and family as Israel Maikyau, son of the President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) graduated with a First Class, at the 17th convocation ceremony of Covenant University.
The governor is an elder brother to the NBA President, Y.C Maikyau, OON, SAN.
The NBA President’s son, Israel Danmanya Maikyau graduated with a first class with a CGPA of 4.64 from the College of Engineering, Department of Computer Sciences.
In attendance to rejoice with the family was the General Secretary of the NBA, Adesina Adegbite, the Welfare Secretary, Chinyere Obasi, the National Assistant Publicity Secretary, Charles Ajiboye, an elder of the bar, Nasir Salau and the Chairman Eti-Osa Lawyers Forum, Adewale Sanni among others.
The NBA President while delivering a goodwill message on behalf of the NBA commended the management of the university and urged the Chancellor of the University, Bishop(Dr.) David Oyedepo to introduce the Faculty of Law in the University. In his response, Bishop Oyedepo announced that the building of the Faculty of Law and Medicine structures will commence in the first quarter of the year.
The Governor, who was full of joy, in his Goodwill message thanked the university for their deliberate efforts in raising students with good character and further commended the management for their role in raising Israel into the man he is becoming.
The Nigerian Bar Association rejoices with the Governor and the family of the President of the NBA and wishes Israel success in his future endeavors.
