Court Remands KC Luxury, Two Others Over Alleged Drug Trafficking
A Federal High Court in Lagos has remanded social media influencer, Afolabi Michael Kazeem, popularly known as KC Luxury and two others in the custody of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency over alleged drug trafficking.
The court also fixed October 2, 2026, to rule on their bail applications.
KC Luxury was arraigned at the Federal High Court, Lagos, on Friday over his alleged involvement in the trafficking of 184.5 kilogrammes of cocaine.
He was arrested on August 13, 2026, at the departure hall of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, while attempting to travel to Paris, France.
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency presented the 49-year-old along with two of his alleged accomplices, Boniface Sule and Ikechukwu Ekugo, before Justice Musa Kakari on Friday, with all three men pleading not guilty to the charges.
The arrest and arraignment follow the seizure of 184.5kg of cocaine at DHL, Ikeja, Lagos, with the agency alleging that KC Luxury was connected to the shipment. He alone pleaded not guilty to 21 of the 22 count charges bordering on alleged illegal exportation and possession of hard drugs as well as alleged money laundering.
The first defendant, who deals in gold and luxury goods, has been in the agency’s custody since his arrest, with the court granting an order on August 20, 2026, extending his detention for 30 days.
