The DOA Nigerian Competition Law Handbook: A Practical Guide to the FCCPA

Duale, Ovia & Alex-Adedipe (DOA) has published a practical guide to competition and consumer protection law in Nigeria. The book titled The DOA Handbook on Nigerian Competition Law (Volumes 1 and 2) is a significant addition to the body of literature on Nigeria’s competition and consumer protection framework.

The handbook offers a detailed analysis of the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act (FCCPA), addressing critical areas such as merger control, restrictive agreements, abuse of dominance, consumer protection, investigations, and enforcement. It also offers comparative perspectives from jurisdictions such as the United Kingdom, European Union, United States, and South Africa, placing Nigerian competition law within a broader international context.

Beyond doctrinal discussions, the handbook is designed to serve as a practical guide for lawyers, regulators, policymakers, business leaders, and students. By bridging theory and practice, it equips readers with both the knowledge and the tools required to navigate competition law effectively in Nigeria.

The publication reflects a collaborative effort, co-authored by Seye Ayinla, Adeleke Alex-Adedipe, Adeniyi Duale, Soibi Ovia, Fatimah Muhammad, Chukwuebuka Okoli-Akirika, Chika Oke, Christana Ossai, and Bilkis Mahmud, with editorial contributions from Morayo Adebayo-Adisa and Folakunmi Pinheiro. The handbook is available as an e-book on LawPavilion, making it easily accessible to practitioners, academics, and students across Nigeria.
