Tinubu sacks Wale Edun and Dangiwa as Ministers
Nigerian President Tinubu has replaced his Minister of Finance, Mr. Wale Edun and his Minister for Housing and Urban Development, Musa Dangiwa according to statement from the Presidency.
Mr. Taiwo Oyedele, current Minister of State, Finance, has been named as his replacement. Mustapha Rabe Darma has been named ministerial nominee to replace the sacked Minister of Housing and Urban .
Although no official reason was given for the sack of Mr. Wale Edun, reports suggests that he was relieved on health grounds. Recall that last year, there were speculations that he was seriously ill and had to be flown out of the country for treatment. A Development that was confirmed by the Presidency.
Recall that Mr. Edun also served as Tinubu’s Commissioner of Finance during his term as Governor and resigned on health ground barely a year into his second term serving as Commissioner of Finance on health grounds.
